Kevin Rudd has pledged more than $580 million dollars on South Australian roads should the Labor Party form government after the federal election.
Rudd identified South Road in Adeladie as requiring particular attention.
"This is a very big transport artery in Adelaide and is obviously the one that needs the most immediate injection of funds," he said.
Earlier, Rudd said a Labor Government would review the Welfare to Work system, currently under investigation by the Commonwealth Ombudsman.
Training programs in particular, would be one area a Rudd Government would focus on in regard to the system.
"When people are trying desperately to get back into work, often what is missing, given the rapidly changing nature of the workforce itself and employment, are the short-term training programs which can help people transition," said Rudd.
