There are signs that the Government is starting to fray around the edges with Environment Minister Malcolm Turnbull being forced to deny claims that infighting is plaguing the election campaign.
Media reports this morning claimed Turnbull had given up hope of holding on to government and was manoeuvering for a leadership post-election leadership change.
"This is gossip," said Mr Turnbull. "I described it (the article) as rubbish, complete rubbish.''
The report follows a poll suggesting Labor is on the verge of taking the seat of Wentworth from Turnbull.
