Former NSW Liberal leader Peter Debnam has told the NSW Energy Summit Australia should have signed the Kytoto protocol, directly contradicting Liberal party policy.
"I wish we had ratified Kyoto long ago and then led the world with bold initiatives in clean energy,'' Mr Debnam said.
John Howard, who has consistently claimed that signing Kyoto does not make sense economically or environmentally, strongly backed Debman at the NSW state elections earlier in the year.
