John Howard has visited shopping centres in the key Queensland electorates of Bonner, Blair and Moreton, in a last gasp attempt to secure the marginals before Saturday's poll.

Opinion polls indicate the ALP could take as many as six seats from the Coalition in Kevin Rudd's home state. The Prime Minister appealed to voters who remained undecided to back his government.

Mr Howard said: "I'll be talking to people and appealing to people directly because a lot of people don't make up their minds until the morning of the election."
